You know when you’re like wow, I just got done with a photo shoot and I had this amazing makeup artist put makeup on me. I wish I could look like this tomorrow. I have to talk myself into taking my makeup off. ‘You cannot just trace it back on tomorrow, that’s gross.’”

    Taylor tells the magazine:

“I think for the new album, I really wanted to make sure that it stood for something different….That was one of the main goals: making sure I don’t make the same album twice, and I didn’t with this one. It’s very much a brand-new endeavor and I’m so excited.”

Anne Hathaway opened up to Harper’s BAZAAR’s about all things “daring” in the magazine’s Daring November Issue! Check out what she has to say about her daring style, career, and role models!

In the November issue of Harper’s BAZAR, Anne Hathaway posed topless with rhinestones covering her bare chest — talk about daring! The 31-year-old actress had a lot to share about her life and the daring moves she is making recently!

Anne Hathaway Topless For ‘Harpers Bazaar’ — Discussing All Things ‘Daring’

Anne opened up the topic of being daring by saying, “It’s easier to think about the way I’m least daring. When I meet people for the first time, I’m friendly but shy. I’m much less outwardly nervous than I used to be, but I still get anxious sometimes.”

On Her Daring Street Style — “I’m not very daring in my street style, usually because there’s a photographer around! I am getting more daring now—I’ll wear my mom jeans in public that haven’t been tailored ‘just so’ yet, just because they feel good. For a long time I was afraid of the harsh things people would say about me, but I might as well be happy.”

On Being Daring With Men — “I have no problem making the first move when I see a guy I like. I was in L.A. when I met him [husband, Adam Shulman]. I was told he had a girlfriend, and I backed off because I’m not that girl. Then when I found out six weeks later that he didn’t have a girlfriend, I was like, ‘We should throw a party. We should invite Adam.’ “

Her Daring Career Path- “Even though I’ve had great success, touch wood, it hasn’t been easy. A lot of people have told me, ‘You’re not this and so can’t play that,’ and I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve been told I’m not sexy. I just go: ‘I’m a lot of things. Just because I don’t wear my sexiness overtly doesn’t mean that I can’t become that girl for a role. That’s what I do; I become things. Use your imagination, buddy.’ So in terms of not listening to what other people told me about who I was as an actress and then really pursuing it, I think I’ve been daring in that way.”

    Anne’s Daring Role Models

“Tilda is it, but she’s so cool about it. She’s so cool, she’d be like, ‘Oh, it’s not daring. I just did it.’ Hmm, Jonathan Demme”—who directed Hathaway to her first Oscar nomination, for Rachel Getting Married—”he’s still my mentor and hero. And Matthew McConaughey is the most daring man I know. He never judged himself along the way, and it’s all come together for him so wholly and deeply. He is totally himself,” Anne told Harpers BAZAR about her role models.

As far as daring style icons go, Anne said, “Leandra Medine from [the blog] Man Repeller. I feel empowered by her. Not just her humor; she reminds me of Diana Vreeland. She wants girls to dress for themselves, be goofy, awesome girls. I have a Pinterest board, which is called Closet Crush, and it’s just all her and Jane Birkin and a little Sophia Amoruso because I think she’s fabulous too.”

  • Fashion week is so close that the final five designers can taste it! With a chance to show off their designs at Lincoln Center, the designers took to the streets of New York City to get inspiration for their street chic looks — and they were also met with a surprise!

What would it be like to have Tim Gunn be your own personal alarm clock on Project Runway? Just ask the final five designers when they were woken up by Tim and told to meet him on the roof of their building in 10 minutes. Somehow in those 10 minutes, the designers were camera-ready — and even more ready to receive their next challenge. Tim explained to the designers that they were to go out into the streets of New York and look for inspiration to create a street-chic look. This is their last challenge before fashion week, so the designers were told to pull out all the stops!

‘Project Runway’ Recap — Final Challenge, Season 13, Episode 12:

The designers were given two days to complete this challenge and $200 to spend on fabrics at Mood. They quickly moved around the Lower East Side to get ideas. With all the shapes, buildings, graffiti and window displays, it was not hard for them to generate a few ideas.

When they all returned to the workroom it was nothing but good vibes — and during a group conversation Char expressed how she feels like there is now a “lightness in the air.” That lightness wouldn’t have anything to do with Korina no longer in the competition, would it? Of course Char is not the only one who feels an immediate change in the atmosphere now that Korina is no longer in the picture. Kini also commented on Korina’s absence, saying, “everyone seems so much closer and it’s fun a relaxing atmosphere. There isn’t a tense feeling anymore.”

When the designers returned to the workroom the next day they were greeted by five losing looks that sent people home in past competitions. Sandhya, Samantha, Fade, Mitchel and Korina’s designs were all displayed on mannequins, which raised some questions for the designers. Tim then came out holding the button bag and gave the designers a plot twist-they will also be creating a second look this week. However, this second look must come from a losing look and be turned into a winning one. This second look did not have to correlate to the street chic look. Tim pulled out designer’s names from the button bag, and each designer picked which losing look they wanted to work with.

Emily picked Samnatha’s simple blue gown, Amanda picked Fade’s avante grade look, Char chose Korina’s cape coat, Kini picked Mitchel’s red dress and Sean was left with Sandhya’s pink teletubby outfit. Now the designers have two looks to create which seems like a lot of work for just one person, however, a little help couldn’t hurt — or can it?

    The Bitch Is Back:

Tim explained to the designers that they would be receiving help from former contestants who created the losing look. While many of the designers were happy to see some old faces, everyone’s blood ran cold when Korina stepped back into the workroom. Too soon? Korina sure thought so. When she found out that Char picked her coat and that she had to work with her, Korina reminded us just how bitter she still was.

Korina stepped over and stood next to Char and she did nothing but roll her eyes and shake her head. Sean described it as, “she had the body language that tells the rest of the world to f**k off.” The girl was pissed and she wanted everyone to know about it. She immediately expressed to Tim that everything was still too fresh, that they chose the wrong person and it’s clear that she should not be there. Tim shrugged her off and told her to the leave the workroom. History repeats itself as Korina stomped out of the workroom, holding onto her title of the bitter bitch. Tim quickly replaced Korina with Alexander to help Char, which ultimately ends up making a very happy workroom.

    Make It Work:

Throughout the entire competition Emily had in mind a certain design that she was waiting to use, and she felt that this week was the time to bring it to life. She created a hoodie coat and decided to put her full time and energy into that. When it came down to the second look, she gave most of the work to Samantha. Amanda began to notice that while the coat was so Emily, the second ensemble, however, looked nothing like Emily’s style which had the makings of hurting her on the runway.

Kini created a denim trench coat. While Tim gave it praise, he feared that it was something anyone could easily buy at Michael Kors. Tim also told Kini that this look has no design signature and that the look just isn’t enough. Kini was not shocked by Tim’s comments and he began to rework some ideas.

Sean found inspiration from a guy walking down the street wearing a simple an all white outfit. Sean took that idea and began to make his own all-white outfit with cutout separates. Tim told him that it looked took much like a uniform for a service worker and that he needed to amp it up…a lot.

The Most Important Runway Show Of The Season:

The two looks are completed and the designers took to their seats to watch their designs come to life on the runway. This week’s guest judge was Shay Mitchell from the ABC Family hit show Pretty Little Liars.

Kini received praise for his trench coat but was ciritized for the white shirt and black skirt that were underneath. Judge Zac Posen told Kini that there was a lot going on and that he needs to learn how to “edit himself.” Kini received the most praise for his breathtakingly beautiful red gown redesign. He took a strapless red dress, flared it out and made it a one-shoulder gown. Zac also criticized Emily for her hoodie, telling her that the model looked “homeless” and the patterned jumpsuit underneath was too abstract and needed to be more simple. The judges agreed across the board that they couldn’t find Emily’s sense of style in the second look, which was a cause for concern.

Amanda was applauded for her patchwork maxi dress but was put down for her two-piece redesign, which Amanda herself didn’t agree with either. Both Char’s redesign and street chic looks were in between for the judges — they didn’t love it and they didn’t hate it. Nina Garcia told Char that her street chic skirt, complete with a small pocket and purple petals, was “a lot.” Sean was given the highest praise for his clean and crisp street chic design. Nina went as far as saying that it was one of the “best pieces I’ve seen on Project Runway.”

When it came down to choosing who was going to Fashion Week, the judges ultimately decided on Sean, Kini, Amanda and Char. This left Emily to go clean up her workroom. Emily was not shocked that she was eliminated and bowed out gracefully, unlike some people we know…

  • We can officially add “fashion consultant” to Lena Dunham’s résumé, “wearer of caftans” to Jared Leto’s, and “Erin Kleinberg fan” to both. Although she bid adieu to The Coveteur earlier this year, Kleinberg has not lost her knack for celebrity collaboration. The designer-turned-blogger-turned-designer left the popular fashion website she cofounded in order to resurrect her namesake label, and she has kept busy of late with two interest-piquing partnerships.

Spring 2015 is the first season Kleinberg will have custom prints in her line, so when she happened to meet Dunham through a mutual friend around the time she was designing the collection, she naturally asked the Girls creator to weigh in. Dunham told us, “I was so honored that Erin asked for my feedback. She created some patterns inspired by things that excited me this summer, one of which is bears. And bears eating pudding. The results are awfully pleasing.”

Although bears and pudding might not be typical points of reference, Kleinberg explained that Dunham’s wacky ideas get to the heart of who the EK woman is. “I just love that Lena acts, directs, produces. She dabbles in everything. I love the idea that women can be empowered and do a ton of different things at once and wear different hats.” Look for those pudding-inspired prints next spring. Also on Kleinberg’s plate at the moment is a newfound stint as a menswear designer. Sort of. Some caftans she had sent to a stylist for a female celebrity client’s consideration ended up catching the eye of none other than Leto. He wore it for an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last week. “He kind of cut it up the side so it’s more of a poncho, but when he performs, it floats around and you can see his 25-pack. I mean, when you’re a ’90s heartthrob/musician/Oscar winner, you can do whatever you want. Plus he’s got the best ombré in the biz.” Leto loved the look so much he ordered 10 more to wear on his band 30 Seconds to Mars’ upcoming South American tour. The designer told us how Leto’s approach captures a different side of her brand: “I love that one of my favorite pieces was reappropriated for something totally different than what it was intended for…EK for girls, EK for guys, I love it all.”
